Saturday, September 2 was not only the first varsity football win of the season for the Crusaders vs Salesian, but one for the Riordan history books. QB Travis Benham ’18 threw five touchdowns to tie a school record, and 410 yards to pass a record of 367 set in 2007 by Darius Bell ’08 in the playoffs against Terra Nova. Bell is now a teacher and football coach at Riordan and was there for Saturday’s game, which happened to be at Terra Nova. The final score was 42-7.
