Archbishop Riordan High School is pleased to announce a new schedule for students beginning in the fall of 2016. We will continue to utilize the block system, though the main change will be moving to full-year courses. Among this new schedule’s many benefits include new program and enrichment course offerings and increases to overall teaching time.
While this represents a change from our 4×4 block schedule that our school had previously used, each class will continue to last 80 minutes, thus providing time for students and teachers to delve more deeply and actively into topics and activities. This emphasis on depth promotes greater understanding of skills, concepts, and ideas than the traditional 50-minute period allows.
