Our Biggest Classroom
In its current state, the field does not meet the needs of our students. Deferred maintenance has created an uneven playing surface, and the field is not playable during wet conditions. The last varsity home football game was held on the field in Fall of 2014.
A new turf field will provide a year-round facility for practices, games, marching band rehearsals, PE classes, and leisure use. For a young man, the lessons learned on an athletic field will impact him for a lifetime. The field is truly Riordan’s biggest classroom.
Thanks to a generous gift from the Mayer Family, all gifts up to $500,000 will be matched. We have also received a $750,000 grant from the Carl Gellert & Celia Berta Gellert Foundation. Read More
